About THE VALLEY EVENT.info (TVEi)

THE VALLEY EVENT.info (TVEi) is a local discovery project by Wayne O. McDonald, based in Huntsville, Alabama. Our goal is to help people find shared experiences across Huntsville, Madison and the surrounding Valley through day, week and month browsing.

Everyone is welcome, across every race, ethnicity, culture and background. We do not profile visitors by demographics. Event-specific admission, accessibility, age restrictions and registration requirements still apply.

Where listings come from

Our connected calendars are Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, Stovehouse and the City of Huntsville. We import published titles, dates and locations, with links back to the sources. “Beyond the calendar” contains separate publisher, venue and directory links, not live schedules or verified food-truck locations. Coverage is growing and is not a complete list of everything happening in the Valley.

Check the organizer for current dates, admission, accessibility and attendance guidance before traveling. A listing or external link does not imply a partnership, endorsement or guaranteed availability. This site does not sell tickets. Card images may be representative, venue photographs or supplied artwork; attribution and image information are available in our photo credits & licenses.

Browsing, storage and audio

Browsing events does not require an account. Saved plans use local storage in your browser, not a server-side favorites profile. Clear this site's browser data to remove them. The optional welcome plays only when you press Play welcome and uses a locally hosted audio file. No welcome preference is stored and no visitor data is sent to a speech service.

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and do not sell personal information. Hosting and security logs may record your IP address, requested pages and technical request information to operate the site, investigate errors and prevent abuse.

Email and community submissions

Email-verified PDF submissions depend on verification email being configured; the submission form reports when this is unavailable. When enabled, we process your email address, verification challenge, a temporary verified session and rate-limit information to verify access and prevent abuse. The essential verification cookie lasts up to 24 hours; verification codes expire after 10 minutes. Email verification confirms access to an email address, not organizer identity or the accuracy of an event.

Accepted event details and PDF flyers are published publicly and may be indexed by search engines. The submission email address is stored privately with the submission and is not included in public event listings. Only submit information and files you have permission to publish. Do not include private contact details, sensitive information or information about children that should not be public. PDF validation and malware scanning reduce risk but cannot guarantee a file is harmless.

Email delivery, when enabled, uses our configured mail provider. Messages you send to us are processed through our email service. Published submissions and associated private records do not currently have an automatic deletion schedule. Contact us to request correction or removal, or ask about your submitted data; we may need to verify your request. Copies already downloaded or indexed by others are outside our control.

External sites and support

Organizer, publisher and project links take you to other websites with their own privacy policies. Support through Zelle takes place in your bank's app, not on this website; we do not collect bank credentials or process payments here. Confirm the recipient before sending.
